I've had several inquiries asking for information on James Charles Wilson, Jr, the name engraved on the plate. This is a family piece and I'm happy to tell you what I know. Charles told me that his family went to the inauguration of President Woodrow Wilson and he used to play as a child with the stovepipe hat his grandfather wore to the inauguration. When I asked him the family connection, all he said was they were cousins. I have not researched their family tree, I only know what Charles said. The date on Charles' bowl is September 5, 1911.
