For Auction: Williams brass O scale Dreyfuss Hudson basket case. The engine is one of Williams' first brass imports - model #4001. This engine DOES NOT RUN, I can't even get the motor to turn over with applied voltage and I'm not sure there even is an E-unit in the tender. As you can see in the close up photos, there are a couple of dents on the cab corner and along the dorsal aspect of the engine that I couldn't completely get out. There is no headlight lens, but the bullet nose has been resistance welded back on to the brass shell (a notorious fault with this model) In addition, it is BLACK- not the correct NYC gray for this engine. The cab number is prototypical as is the tender flank striping, but the base color is totally fictional. In summary, this model is great for a from-the-ground rebuild. Caveat Imptor!!!
