This is an extremely powerful and impressive 1950's Modern Scandanavian Art Glass Vase. You don't often see pieces of this caliber without a signature but that is the case A very knowledgable glass collector told me that he was almost positive that this was a Hadeland piece from Norway by Willy Johansson. This is very plausible to me as I have had several outstanding, unsigned1950's Scandanavian pieces over the years that turned out to be Hadeland as well.
The identification of this may be subject to debate but the caliber and integrity of the workmanshipship and design are undeniable. This is a very abstract vase, the walls are so thick and heavy that it borders on being sculpture. The height is 4.75 inches and it is 5.25 inches wide, the weight is 4.5 pounds. Condition is excellent, t are no chips and the only scratches are underneath. An outstanding example of Mid Century Scandanavian Design offered at a very reasonable price with no reserve, good luck bidding!!!
