This is a very nice pair of size 10, vintage baseball cleats for the 1940's to 50's era! The shoe part is all leather, very well constructed, very light weight! There is one label on one inside tongue, it reads "THOS. E. WILSON & CO. MANUFACTURES ATHLETIC GOODS NEW YORK CHICAGO SAN FRANCISCO U.S.A." on the embroidered cloth label that is in very good condition. This pair has very little where, very clean, very good cleats and leather. The shoe laces appear to be original. We note that the inside sole needs to have a new padded type insert if you intent to wear these, as the original padding (if there was any) is missing, and some of the metal can be see at the heal section. These padded inserts can be purchase at most any dept. store, or you could have a shoe repairman make custom inserts. This vintage pair of cleats is very rare, and the label we believe to be pre-1950's but not sure. We have not seen a label like this one before. These were very well stored over the years, and show no sign of deterioration, except for the inside foot pad missing as mentioned.
