Grip size 4 3/8. This racquet is Wilson's "super oversize" racquet. It favors a compact stroke at medium to low swing speed. It is often chosen by mature players, who want more pace on their shots without the need for a fast swing. At 135 square inches, it is the largest area permitted by USTA rules, and it makes the racquet very forgiving. Although often stated as a racquet for beginning or intermediate players, it has also very frequently been used by advanced senior players.Neither this racquet nor the strings have ever been used. It comes strung with Technifibre NRG SPL2 17-gauge strings. It is strung at a low tension, which provides added power with the same swing motion. More importantly, the lower tension is easier on the arm. Especially the elbow.The grip is still in the original plastic protective wrap. Please note that sometimes the grip can be damaged by removal of the plastic protective wrap, which sometimes sticks to the grip. Please consider the possibility that you may want to replace the grip, depending on how it survives removal of the plastic wrap. Often the grip is still usable, just not pristine.
