This is a used but excellent working older Wilton Powrarm Junior work positioner also referred to as a "Power Arm". Made in America. This example is set up to be a gunsmith, jeweler or knife maker's filing vise, using a pair of USA made Vise-Grip flat jaw locking pliers. The jaws are 3" wide. The vise grips are welded to a piece of steel which can be attached to the top of the Powrarm.This allows the knife or whatever you're filing, to be rotated 360 degrees and tilted 90 degrees.Because the vise grip can be removed you can use the Powerarm for anything else you can think of. Attach a small vise, or screw directly to a woodcarving project and use the power arm as a carving vise.I've added three photos showing how to adjust the tension of the positioner. This design means the vise will almost never wear out and become unusable: loosen a set screw, rotate the base plate as needed, then tighten the set screw.If you want to take the whole thing apart, start with snap ring pliers and remove the ring at the base, this gives you access to everything inside the vise. Easy to take the Powrarm Jr. apart and paint it if you want to.Ready to work in whatever capacity you can imagine.Comes with the wilton Powrarm Junior, the vise grips with copper lined jaws and attachment bolts.
