Offering for sale this Winchester 5949, 5 blade pocket knife. This knife was made in 1998 in the USA. This series of knives was made under license by Bluegrass Cutlery Corp. of Manchester, OH. This knife has a large center clip blade, a pen blade, sheepsfoot blade, spey blade and a small clip blade. All blades are tang stamped "WINCHESTER" with "-TRADE MARK-" centered underneath with "MADE IN USA" under that. Back side tang stamp on the large clip blade reads "5949" with " '98" underneath. Large Clip Blade etching reads "WINCHESTER" with "TRADE MARK" under that. No other blade markings are visible. This knife has slightly jigged brown bone handles. Shield is eliptical with "WINCHESTER" on it. This knife is in excellent condition. The blades have no visible scratches or corrosion. Handles are beautiful with no visible scratches or cracks. It looks to have never been used. It comes in a box but I'm not sure if it is original because it is marked "W 15 5049" and "Silver Brown Pearl". This is a 5949 knife. Handles could be as marked on the box. Either it is a box mistake or it is not the original box. Closed this knife measures 3 3/4 inches. Spring snap is good on all blades and the knife is tight.
