Antique empty Winchester Western Cartridge Co. Blasting Caps Tin box. Tin is in excellent condition, very little surface wear, on edges and corners. T are no dents and no ruston the outside. Tiny bit of rust inside lid and box, lid also has stain on inside, and is mostly what you see. Bright red and light yellow color. This tin reads 100 Number 6 caps BLASTING CAPS WESTERN TRADE MARK ILLINOIS WESTERN CARTRIDGE CO EAST ALTON, ILL. Measures 2.5" x 2" x 1.75" tall. Who would of thought that it would be dangerous to crimp caps with their teeth or to smoke while handling blasting caps? It has these warnings on the sides of the tin, he-he!
