Hello.... Vintage KLM Wind Up Tin Toy Circa late 1950's into early 1960's. Made in West Germany with the words "The Flying Dutchman" written along the airplane body. Marked DOUGLAS DC 6B Length of 10" and a wingspan on almost 12". 3 buttons on the bottom to control the 4-props as well as a START-STOP control. On the bottom reads ARNOLD above a blue triangle with the letter A in it (Arnold logo I imagine). Reads: Foreign Patents Made in West Germany. I do not have a key to wind it up so I carefully used needle-nose pliers to wind it and the 2 inner propellers spun...the others one did not. All the blades of the propellers are intact....1 blade of the 16 looks like a critter may have chewed on it slightly. The main landing wheels are missing although the supporting assemblies and axles remain. The rear wheel a gone. Front wheel is good. Color and lithographics are good except under the left wing tip w some corrosion exists. My thoughts are that this airplane toy is somewhat unique and interesting despite the missing wheels. Please add $7.50 for domestic shipping. International shipping will be greater. Thanks! Look at the 6 pics and see. I could not find another like this one. The ones I found were of Japanese manufacture and nearly all were newer.
