WINGS OF FAME MAGAZINE - # Aerospace publishing, London, paper covers, 9 x 12, 160 pages, glossy page stock, massively illustrated with B&W photos, color photos, color side and 3-views, and line drawings. VERY GOOD condition , very light cover wear. ( NOTE- MAGAZINE TOO LARGE TO FIT IN GLOBAL PRIORITY ENVELOPE ) Subtitled The Journal Of Classic Combat Aircraft. First issue dated November 1995. This magazine was launched as a historical companion to 'World Air Power Journal', covering the period 1939 to 1970 approximately. Each issue comprised 160 glossy pages of similar size and design layout to WAPJ, but with a larger proportion of b+w photos. This publication comprised long and detailed feature articles on unit histories, first hand combat stories, rare aircraft types, variant by variant analyses and surveys of air forces in the past. A 60-page centre feature on a famous warplane was included in each issue - giving a detailed history of the type, its weapons, markings and operators. Contents list courtesy of Aeroflight.
