**UK ONLY**. A lot of three items relating to Private Richard Winstanley, East Lancashire Regt*. He was killed in action in the final weeks of WW11 on April 11th 1945, aged only 20 years of age. The sale is for: A Death prayer card telling of his death and notification of a Mass said for him. An undated letter, hand written by him on NAAFI letter form. It's addressed to 'Mary', and signed by him "Your loving cousin, Dick". It tells her he is now in France, and unlikely to get summer leave. It asks about hay making, and tells about the waste of crops in France due to fighting. A change of address card dated 11 Apl 1944, from; 14550920, Pte Winstanley Rd, 18th Plt, D Coy, 5th Batt, East Lancs Reg't, C/O APO England. This is also addressed to 'Mary', and asks her to pass on the information to 'Aunt Bell'. All three items in good condition. *Shown on the Memorial as in The Monmouthshire Regt at time of death?
