WIRKKALA - GIANT FIGURINE ,,GREAT NORTHERN DIVER"- 60s Birds are a recurrent motive of Tapio Wirkkala, that he realized in porcelain, metal and wood. The designs reflect his permanent analysis of the forms of nature. The to find big copy (length 14,17 inches) of Wirkkala`s famous "Eistaucher" (great northern diver) porcelain figurine is one of his masterpieces, he created for the Rosenthal Studio-Linie, in the mid 1960s. Stylized form perfection and today a classic modern porcelain treasure. Condition: first choice, in an excellent condition (no chips, cracks, hairlines or other damages). Length: 14.17 inches, height: 5.90 inches. Signed with: vintage green Rosenthal Studio-Linie mark. Artist signature Tapio Wirkkala.
