Tapio Wirkkala was a graphic designer, interior decorater and one of the most profiled artists of his time. After working in the New York design office of Raymond Loewy during the early 50s, he collaborated with the famous German porcelain manufacturer Rosethal in 1957. During this relationship originated design objects in porcelain, that became timeless classics. A number of his creations made their way into the steady collections of the Centre Pompidou, Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York . you can find one of the results of Wirkkalas unique creativity dated 1968. Rare shape with spot relief decoration. Nordic elegance per excellence! Condition: First choice, in an excellent condition (no chips, cracks, hairlines or other damages). Matte and glossy finish.
