The perfect accessory to guard over your library books quoting "nevermore" oops wrong bird... a very special gift for someone dear or for the collector... this adorable and oh so wise signed large Steuben OWL . This very giftable OWL will come wrapped in its fine grey flannel bag nestled inside a new steuben box (all free of stains or odors), with a Steuben care card.

This is a Steuben design icon by the wonderful Donald Pollard (designer of the famed Trillium Bowl --and the Great Ring of Canada ) first produced in 1955 and still in production. This is a larger animal sculpture (not a hand cooler) and can be viewed at (the current retail, and Steuben glass never goes on "sale", is $975, before taxes and shipping...)

This EXTREMELY Wise Owl has taken his vitamins and great care to have no chips, no cracks, no dings and no scuffs and no scratches, not even on the base . Simply terrific and my idea of what a great piece of art glass should look like!! The winning bidder will be very pleased.

Measuring approx 5.5" tall and a hefty 3+lbs with a very watchful & large pair of ground and polished eyes with piercing engraved/cut pupils and engraved beak.

I have set a very fair starting bid for this outstanding Steuben animal sculpture that is in show room condition and NO hidden reserve.

Steuben Glass was founded by Frederick Carder in 1903. It ranks with Baccarat, Lalique, Daum, Orrefors and Tiffany as one of the worlds foremost artisan glass houses. Steuben glass continues to be hand made by American craftsmen at the works in Corning NY. Because it is hand made, each piece is unique. Steuben glass is frequently the United States' gift of State to foreign dignitaries. Steuben markets no "seconds". Items that do not meet their exacting production standards are destroyed by being smashed in a bin. Steuben is a luxury brand and they have no "sales".
