For your consideration is this signed Steuben Owl. An acclaimed design from the mid 1950's hand of Donald Pollard (Steuben creator of the trillium bowl, the Great Ring of Canada, and many other cherished Steuben masterworks). This classic owl would be a perfect Birthday or Anniversary (you were such a WISE choice) gift or something very special for the collector or ornithologist in your family!

The Owl's creation involves a number of steps--after handblowing the form, the eyes are shaped and ground, the beak is engraved and the pupil's of the eyes are also engraved, finally the form is polished to its brilliance. This sculpture is a large and heavy piece (not a handcooler).

This very wise Owl has taken his vitamins and is in superb condition with no chips, no cracks, no scuffs and on the closest inspection, no scratches and none on the base bottom . The winning bidder will be thrilled with this work of glassmaking artistry.

This very giftable Owl will come wrapped in a fine grey flannel steuben bag packed in a new Steuben gift box, all in excellent condition free of wear, stains or odors and with a Steuben Glass care booklet.
