Up for auction is a unique, custom made, one-of-a-kind store display grouping purchased many years ago from the Berman's Supper Club and Christmas Shoppe in Oregon, Ohio. This business was quite an attraction for years and years in the Toledo, Ohio area. Parents would bring their children to enjoy the various dolls and animated characters---The star attraction was the Wizard of Oz display, featuring Dorothy with Toto in her little basket, the Cowardly Lion with his hankerchief and tear running down his cheek, the Scarecrow with his blank look in his eyes, and the Tin Man holding his little oil can.

These are large-size quality characters with Dororthy measuring about 24" tall, and Tin Man, Lion, and Scarecrow about 27" high. Each character has its own built-in motor with individual power cord. When energized, each character gracefully moves its head "back-and-forth" and its right arm "up-and-down". Make no mistake about it, the detail work is superb! As far as we can determine, these were made in the late '60s to early '70s. The movements and "looks" of these characters remind me of the "old time" department store displays of the mid 1900s.

Whether you are a Wizard of Oz collector or you just want a unique gift for your kids or grandkids---This is it!

I have a 100% rating, so bid with confidence!

After receiving an email from an ebay member, I'm not quite sure that this display is indeed "custom-made".
