I am pleased to offer a lovely facsimile edition of the classic children's novel THE WIZARD OF OZ. .

L. Frank Baum. THE WIZARD OF OZ.
New York: Books of Wonder/ Morrow, (1990). First Printing of this facsimile edition with the number line down to '1'. This is probably as close to owning the first printing (which would certainly cost well over $10,000!) as most of us will come. A special afterward for this edition by Peter Glassman helps add to the value of the book.
The start of this wildly popular series of books that helped create a uniquely American mythology. The tin woodsman, the cowardly lion, Dorothy Gale, the Wizard himself, and of course Toto and the Wicked Witch of the West all appear for the first time in this book. A fantastic creation and one of the most beloved titles in all of children's literature.

This reprint edition recreates the experience of reading the original down to the coloring of the plates and the size of the book. A true labor of love and bookmaking art.

CONDITION: . Fine copy in original dustjacket which has a few tiny dents along the edge.
