Up for auction is a set of Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. International Silverware. The pattern is called "Sovereign". This was made in 1939. T are 6 place settings, four pieces each, with a bonus butter knife and sugar spoon, for a total of 26 pieces in all. The large soup spoon is about 6 3/4" long and 1 3/4" wide, the fork is about 7 1/4" , the knife is about 8 1/4" , and the small spoon is about 6" long and 1 1/4" wide. Each piece has the words "Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. IS" stamped on the back. The silverware comes in a protective fabric lined vinyl case that folds over and snaps shut. T is a gold sticker on the lining that reads " Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. Only International Silver Co. Makes Original Rogers Silverplate". The case shows some wear at the edges w the stitching has frayed and you can see the cardboard underneath. The lining is faded.
