Wm. Rogers Mother of Pearl Handled Knives w/ Sharpener

This is a set of 11 Knives and one Sharpener. The Mother of Pearl handles are georgous with a highly reflective and luminescent quality. The furels joining the blade to the handle have a repeating floral and leaf design. Each blade is marked Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. Hartford, Conn. with an anchor to the left and the number 12 to the right. Also on the back of some of the blades is written Landers, Frary & Clark (perhaps the name of the store that sold them).

Each of the 11 Knives are approx. 9" long and the Sharpener is approx. 12". As you can see from the photos they are all in very good to excellent condition with only minor use scratches to the blades and perfect handles. The blade of the Sharperner is polished steel and has six graduated concave sides as opposed to being the normal round tapered blade. T is minor discoloration to the blade of the Sharpener but is in overall very good condition. This set is probably from the late Victorian Period.
