OUTSTANDING WMF HAND ENAMELED EPERGNE Both pieces of the enameled glass are in mint condition. No flea bites, chips or cracks. The enamel work was obviously done by a skilled artisan. The glass is a rich blue on the outside edge and fades to a pale blue toward the center. It is absolutely beautiful. The silver holder is in excellent condition except for a small piece of ornate filigree that is missing w the trumpet-shaped glass fits. (see picture) This could easily be repaired by a silversmith. This missing piece does not affect the secure fit of the glass. T is only minimal wear to the silverplate. This piece appears to have been kept in a closed cabinet for most of its life. It measures 20-1/2 inches tall and the widest part of the glass above the base is 12-1/2 inches. This is a wonderful piece to add to your collection if you collect WMF or Victorian glass and silverplate. Please study pictures and e-mail any questions before bidding. Buyer pays shipping, handling and insurance.
