This is a hand-carved, folk art piece sold in 1993 by Wolf Creek in Eldora, CA. It depicts a knife-throwing circus act entitled, "Mack and Maybelle". When the wheel is spun and let go, Maybelle slowly rotates to the tune, "Funeral March of a Marionette" (Alfred Hitchcock's TV theme) as Mack is in position to throw another knife. It is signed on the base, "Carol Altenhein 1993" and the knife thrower is signed, "PF 93". Condition is excellent and as purchased back in 1993. Base measures 19 & 1/4" long and 9 & 1/2" high at the top. Mack is removable and can spin around on the base via a dowel. He stands 6 & 1/4" from head to toe. Piece will be well packed and shipped via UPS. Thanks for looking!
