WOLFARD 15-inch Hand-Blown Glass Oil Lamp w Wick 1 of 4 Album Auction is for a beautiful, handblown glass oil lamp in the large size. Made by Wolfard Glassblowing Company of Santa Rosa, California. The Wolfard Oil Lamp has earned an international reputation for excellence in design and function. It has been included in the prestigious Whitney Museum of American Art exhibition "High Styles: Twentieth Century American Design," a review of outstanding examples of furniture, industrial design, and decorative objects. The Wolfard Oil Lamp is hand-blown from borosilicate glass (known for its strength and clarity) using an exclusive "in-flame" glassblowing technique which requires higher temperatures than other art glass methods. This, in turn, requires a higher degree of skill by the glassblower to form the lamp while the glass remains workable.This oil lamps is like new with no damage and few signs of previous use. Glass looks fragile but is actually durable enough to go through the dishwasher. This lamp is Wolfards' large size which measures 15 inches high and 5 inches wide and retails for $116.00. This holds 8 ounces of fuel and will burn for 60 hours. It is a very beautiful and unique lamp. This come from a smoke free environment and is clean and ready to display. The wick and glass wick holder which fit into the bubble-like oil holder are also included with this lamp.
