Up for auction is an original issue of WOMB which was an underground newspaper published out of NEW YORK. These were newspapers that dealt with the underground counterculture scene in the US in the late 1960's and early 1970's. Basically this newspaper contained poetry and artwork, mixed with biting social commentary. I have listed 18 other underground newspaper auctions this week, including 5 or 6 pics for each auction, so please check them out to get a better feel for the contents of each issue. This issue is Volume 1, --- from August 30, 1967. Contains: much art and poetry, very funny Newark Riot send-up soap advertisement, + lots more. These are newspapers that fold so don't look for mint condition on these...most of them have held up decently though. This one is in good condition. Shipping for this item is $6.00. Overseas winner must pay for Express Mail and insurance as I have had problems with overseas mail being lost so all non-US buyers keep that in mind, and payment is due within 7 days after close of auction. Note: If the high bidder does not choose insurance we are not responsible for what happens after it is given to the Post Office.
