WHAT A LOVELY ANTIQUE EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER FISH SLICE! IT IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. And really nice and very heavy too. This is a simply awesome serving piece and is of quite delightful pierced form. All in all a quite stunning slice. This cracking piece is in the VICTORIA pattern-it is double struck. Here we have a quite exceptional and quite lovely solid silver fish slice of very good gauge and weight.Hallmarks are crucially deep and clear. Assayed in London and dated 1845 (year letter k).Maker is very good lady silversmith of the period Elizabeth Eaton. This lovely item is in itself a wonderful piece of grand Victorian silver. The length is very large at 13 inches. This lovely piece is of exceptional quality and is a most delightful piece of table silver. It is engraved S and always has been, definitely no erasures (refer to image). Its weight is an incredible 216 grams (6.95 troy ounces) and the overall condition is quite sensational. There is no way that i could merit scrapping it despite the high metal price and it still has plenty of life left in it yet.All it needs is to be used! Please excuse any reflection in some of the images, this sometimes happens when using a camera tent outside in daylight. Please note that i have listed many other good items of both modern and antique silver, please do have a look-including more teasets, read more
