We are featuring a beautiful turkey red and white (colors still strong) quilt that we found in the Ozark Mountains about 3 years ago. This neat quilt has everything going for it.... color, condition and pattern appeal. T is an enormous amount of hand quilting in this piece!!!! The quilt is constructed of wonderfully soft cotton. It is of summer weight, but has great Christmas color appeal. Its a quilt that you'll want to wrap up in while reading a good book!!! or ..... it would look so fabulous hung on the wall..... The quilt stitching meausres approximately 6-9 stitches per inch with the blocks joined by hand stitching also (no machine stitching in this quilt....). The backing is constructed with two main panels of soft muslin fabric. The edges of the quilt are in good condition with no material deterioration. T are no fabric fold stains from storage. T seems to be no holes or staining on the front, with only a couple spots on the back, about the size of a nickel... (see photo) and one small tear, about 1 1/4" long.... (see photo) on the back. Both of these are very, very minor. Two applique flowers on the front have been restitched (came loose). This all sounds worse than it is really, but we want you to have full disclosure. Its a WONDERFUL quilt with terrific early fabrics! The quilt measures approximately 77 1/2 inches long by 58 inches wide. Its just a fabulous find!!!
