I got two of these
DANCE WITH ME DOLLS at the same Estate Sale (the other was Davy Crockett and he's already found a new home) This one is PINOCCHIO I was told that the two dolls are the same age: they had been purchased for the same child, when Davy Crockett and The Disneyland Show were all the rage on TV. I looked up Disneyland's Davy Crockett show and found that it was first broadcast in 1954, So I am speculating that is the age of this doll. It is almost 40" tall. It is made of cloth except for its face, which is molded plastic. the button oh his pants, which are metal, and the trim on his shorts and the trim on his hat which is also a form of plastic-cloth. The elastic on his feet still has just a little stretch left in it--but one of the pieces of elastic has come loose on one side (this can be seen in the photographs.) His feet and hands, the back of his head, his collar, his hat and his pants are flannel. His body and legs are cotton-print. The flannel has some pilling and fadeing in places (most obvious on his pants--see close up photo). The cotton print cloth has held it color well. His face has a few, minor, rubbed spots but it is not cracked or hurt. His clothes are pinned on in places and the flannel cloth is a little frayed on the edges on his hat and collar--but all in all his clothing is in good condition. He will be improved with a little dusting off and cleaning but OVERALL HIS CONDITION IS GOOD Buyer to pay shipping -- an exact quote can be obtained using eBay's shipping calculator. We do not require that you purchase shipping insurance but we recommend that you consider doing so, especially for breakables. We have a lot of experience with shipping and we are very careful with packing, but we cannot be responsible for items broken or lost in the mail that are not insured.
