DESCRIPTION: Offered for auction is a wonderful Haviland, Limoges cup and saucer on the Diana Blank. The set is marked with the green, underglazed H&Co/L and a brown Haviland & Co. decorator mark for Tyndale & Mitchell, dating it to circa 1876-1889. The decor consists of pale pink background that is accented by gold filigree around the inner rim of the cup and well of the saucer and fine gold on the rims. There is heavy gold and platinum with red enameling on the handle. The porcelain is snowy white and translucent. CONDITION: The set is in excellent condition with the no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. There is some light wear of the pink glaze on the overall surface and the high point wear in the pink on the ribs of the cup. The gold is in very good condition, showing only slight wear. Despite the wear in the pink, it is still an exquisite set. SIZE: The cup measures 4 inches across including the handle and 2 1/8 inches tall. The saucer measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: All items will be shipped insured but I do not use delivery confirmation unless requested. The insurance will be included in the handling fee so if you use a postal calculation based on what you think it might weigh, then take into consideration that the additional cost is for insurance and handling.
