Take a look at the pictures we took for you and see for yourself. We are sure you will like what you see! The Morgan Dollars were minted from 1878 to 1904 and again for one more year in 1921. The Morgan Dollar is named after its designer, George T. Morgan, who designed the obverse and reverse of the coin. The dollar was authorized by the Bland-Allison Act of 1878. It has a fineness of .900, giving a total silver content of 0.77344 troy ounces (24.057 grams) per coin. The Carson City Mint was a built at the peak of the silver boom, 57 issues of silver coins minted between 1870 and 1893 bore the "CC" mint mark. The mint was established in Carson City to facilitate minting of silver coins from silver in the Comstock Lode, somewhat like how the San Francisco Mint was established to facilitate minting gold coins from the gold of the California gold rush. I try to honestly describe everything I sell, but please view the pictures and grade for yourself. No warranties are expressed or implied in my opinion of the grades. Grading read more
