We listed this clock several weeks ago but took it off-line in order to have our cabinet maker restore one of the legs that was shorter than the others due to something that evidently occurred during its past 183 years. The restoration is so perfect, no one could possibly determine which foot was corrected. We mention this only in the interest of complete disclosure. The original Seth Thomas brass finials have been polished (but not laquered) and the movement was thoroughly checked and adjusted by our master clockmaker for perfect operation. The lower door glass is also original with moderate flaking and touch-up (see photograph). The scrolls are unbroken- a feature that is almost never to be found on a pillar and scroll clock case. This is a SUPER older, original wood works clock. The label inside the case is in excellent condition (see photograph). This clock is being sold on consignment by one of the nation's leading antique clock authorities and is priced appropriately. If you are looking for an original Seth Thomas P&S--this is it!!
