Antique History Finest English Silver & Collectable Antiquities Circ. 1200s – 18 th 19 th 20 th Century Preserving the past for the future. Item: Wonderful Victorian 1885, 3 piece Sterling Silver Tea Set, Charles Stuart Harris, London. Very charming Victorian Antique 3 piece Tea set in the classic and sought after Queen Anne half fluted design. The set comprises of teapot , milk/creamer and sugar bowl. The teapot has a superb ebony handle and thumb pull to the top. The milk/creamer again has the half fluted design with a three tiered boarder handle. Sugar bowl has a beautiful arch top outer edge and two large cast and applied handles again with the half fluted effect. The set is un- monogrammed. A beautiful example of a complete Tea Set, handmade by one of England’s famous Silversmith makers Charles Stuart Harris London (This would have been used for a bachelor). Maker: Charles Stuart Harris, London, England. Hallmarks: Hallmarks partially visible for accuracy, Teapot : SH for Charles Stuart Harris, Lion, Leopard, Date Letter L 1886, Queen Victoria’s Side Cameo: Sugar Bowl, CSH, Lion, Leopard Date letter K 1885, Queen Victoria Side Cameo, Milk/ Creamer: makers mark partially Queen Victoria's side cameo, date letter k - l. Lion for .925 Purity of Sterling Silver. CSH For partially rubbed see H for CSH, Queen Victoria's side cameo, rubbed, date letter k 1885 just visible,. Lion just visible.. Tea Sets were often put together and quite commonly have different dates within the set usually within a year or so of each other. Size: Teapot width 230mm, depth 97, height 128, Sugar Bowl width 165mm, depth 85mm, height 90mm, Creamer 100mm width, depth 55 height 80mm Weight: 16 Troy Oz, 453gms Condition: a few marks here and there but nothing serious.
