Wonderful vintage enamelwaregraniteware teapot, measuring 10 ½ inches long X 6 ½inches wide X 6 inches tall. The bottom of the teapot is marked, “Elite, Czechoslovakia, Reg'd, 18368”. Attractive leaf/flower pattern, soft plum, blue, peach, off white colors. Condition: Lid- chips of enamel loss on knob, around the rim on the outside of the lid. Inside of lid has small chips of enamel loss also. Condition: Pot- small chips of enamel loss around the top rim, on the pointed corners, the end of the spout, two larger chips of enamel loss on the body, chips of enamel loss on the top and bottom areas of the handle where it connects to the body of the teapot, around the bottom edge of the pot. Bottom area of the pot where the manufacturer's information is stamped has areas of darkening of the enamel due to age, wear and use. Condition: Inside of the pot- area of rusting where the tea pours through the spout, crackling/discoloration around the outer edge of the bottom (probably tea stained), small chip of enamel loss on the side wall, small marks of discoloration where the bottom of the handle is attached to the outside of the pot. This teapot has quite a few nicks/dings/blemishes, but because of the intricate pattern, the blemishes sort of blend in. Great display piece with any collection of unusual tea or coffee pots!
