DESCRIPTION: Up for auction today is a fabulous 1960's Deco style Loveseat and Matching Side Chair. If you liked the look and feel of the 60's, this is the perfect set for a studio, library or home office. I found this set at an estate sale in Bridgehampton, NY last spring. The owner was an artist who converted his barn into a wonderful studio with plenty of natural light. This little set was off in a corner w the artist apparently sketched and created ideas for his collections. The art work was way over my head, but I fell in love with the loveseat and chair and walked away from the sale satisfied with my piece of history. MEASUREMENTS: The loveseat measures 51" Length x 34" Height x 30" Depth. The matching chair is 30" Length x 34" Height x 30" Depth. CONDITION: The 6 leather cushions are in near perfect condition with no tears or rips. The wooden bases have no cracks or separations. Except for the normal signs of aging one would expect in a set nearly 50 years old, these pieces were well cared for by their owner. Buyers of antiques know that the character of old furniture is often exhibited in the unique way it shows its age. Both pieces are really comfortable and will be enjoyed for years to come.
