Description and condition details Here are 6 beautiful individually hand carved woodenWelsh love spoons. They are all in excellent condition with no splits or pieces missing. Description – I have stated the wood used but this is only my best guess (from left to right): 1) 2 ball (representing 2 children) with heart and 20cm link chain. Made from light mahogany it measures 39 cm long plus the 20cm for the link chain. 2) Daffodil made from dark mahogany and measures 32cm long. 3) Star/ship’s wheel design with curved stem made from a light wood, possibly pine, measures 31cm long. This also comes with a wall hanging piece which could be discarded or used for any of the other spoons. 4) An intertwining swirled design with heart shape at the top. Made from dark mahogany and measures 25cm. 5) Welsh Dragon design with a heart at the top. Made from dark mahogany and measures24cm. 6) Finally a very unusual design of spoon bowl. This bowl is a flattened oval shape rather than normal dessert spoon shaped. Above it is a swirled design and at the top a daisy/flower engraving. Again dark mahogany and measures 25cm.
