Wondering Eighth in the DeGrazia Children Series - 1983 by Ted De Grazia for Artists of the World - Fairmont Perfect Porcelain #2918 of 10,000 Ted DeGrazia, 1909-1982, is widely known for his unique depiction of the Southwest Indians. The plate, Wondering, is from the original oil painting by Ted DeGrazia. He uses "bold splashes of color and a few simple strokes suggesting a child's face." "..A brightly dressed Indian boy and girl stand together, 'Wondering'. Their solemn faces and childlike stance reflect the internationally beloved charm of DeGrazia's Southwest children." This plate is 10-1/4" in diameter, rimmed in gold, backstamped, signed in the front, and hand numbered in gold. Used for display, this plate is in very good conditon with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs.
