This is a solid wood octagon shaped display case . It is made out of solid oak hardwood. It is not a cheap import! This case measures 18 inches long, 13 inches wide, and 2 inches thick( outside measurements ). These measurements were taken at items longest & widest points. It has1 inch foam and will hold items up to 1 inch thick very securely. Some examples could be knives, indian artifacts, coin collections, Hot Wheels collections, baseball cards, sports medals,armed services medals , or just about anything you would like to show off or preserve. The possibilities are endless, just use your imagination.The wood is naturally finished with a clear satin poly finish, that really brings out the natural grains of the wood. As you probably know, most hardwood has naturally darker & lighter grains throughout, & maybe an occassional small unused wormhole. This just adds to the beauty of a true hardwood product. I now have a few of these available in natural finished cedar and walnut at the same price . Just let me know if you would like one of these after auction ends. The glass is real glass, not plexiglass. It comes with polished brass hinges and matching locks with keys . This beautiful case can be used by laying it down, standing upright, or mounted on a wall in your favorite room. These cases are hand crafted right in the United States. read more
