The Lords Prayer is on the small brass heart that is attached to this beautiful rosary. The heart has such tiny letters but has the whole Lord's Prayer on the Heart. The rosary is a black 6MM vintage and very used rosary. The crucifix is 1 1/4" by 3/4" and is enameled on the front with black enamel, has a raised Corpus. The reverse is silver & stamped Italy. The length is 16" and has a circumference of 22" and a drop of 5". The skull is carved bone, Mala and is situated near the cross. In days of old, it was t to remind us that we are mortals, and will all die. On the other hand God was the only true person to have died on the cross so that He would be risen from the depths of Hell to rein forever in Heaven, and God became immortal by dying for our sins. This center piece on the rosary is the reason why you can try to guess the age of a rosary, it is from 1890's or around t The medal on the other side of the rosary is the Blessed Virgin Mary standing in the center of the medal and around Her is the saying: O Mary, Conceived Without Sin, Pray For Us Who Have Recourse To Thee. The back of the medal is the Miraculous Medal of Mary. The heart medal is again the Lord's Prayer in tiny letters.
