NOT YOUR ORDINARY WINE BARREL!!!! to start with this barrel was made in ITALY and used for the ANTINORI wine family who have been making wine for 26 generations. it is also one of the higher grade wines. they have over 600 acres of vinyards in the TUSCANY REGION IN ITALY. their name and family crest are branded into the wood, not just a paper label. also is the name FATIORIE which i have been told is the name of the exact vinyard w the wine was made.that vinyard has long been used up and replaced. cannot come with an exact date of barrel but has been in storage better then 20 years.barrel measures 23 inches from top to bottom while on it's stand, 15 inches from side to side, 23 inches front to back, and 69 inches around at the center. starting to get space between the slats due to dryness. this has also caused the metal bands to loosen. i beleive this can all be corrected by filling the barrel with liquid so the wood will swell back to original condition.the barrel with the stand weighs about 55 pounds before preparing for shipping. I WILL LEAVE THIS AS SHIP OR PICK UP!!! i would guess capacity at 15 gallons of liquid measurement??? I ALSO HAVE 2 BARRELS LIKE THIS SO IF T IS A WINNING BIDDER , CHOICE OF 1 OR 2 BARRELS.
