Jackson got his artistic start at Yale Art School, and soon moved back to Middlebury, Vermont, where his work is constantly inspired by the Vermont dairy lands. Though he is famous for his Holstein cow paintings, Jackson is also a superb landscape artist. When speaking of his work, Jackson says, “All my artwork has always been inspired by the land, from apple orchards, vegetable gardens, New Mexico deserts, dairy farms, and even the New York City waterfront.
