A Collection of the " Works of Charles Dickens " Twenty One Volumes Charles Dickens is a Writer who lived during the 19th century in England. Born February 7th, 1812 Charles John Huffam Dickens in Landport, England. Died June 9th, 1870 at Gads Hill Place, Rochester, England. He was 58 years old. He wrote over 130 novels plus many shorts. From time to time more of his works are being discovered. It's an accepted fact that for many years to come, more and more of his works will be discovered. His 1843 " A Christmas Carol " was his most loved and popular novel. In 2003 five of his novels were named to the worlds top one hundred books ever written. Eleven of his novels made it to the silver screen ( The Movies ), four of which are " A Christmas Carol ", " Oliver Twist ", " A Tale of Two Cities ", and " Great Expectation ". Note: " Great Expectations " has been filmed over twenty times either as a series, a documentary, or as a movie. He visited the United States twice and wrote about adventures in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, to name a few. Of the ten pictures being displayed for this sale, the 9th one is a rare photo of Dickens taken shortly before his death, and the 10th picture is his statue in Philadelphia.
