Offering the Saturday Evening Post World of Norman Rockwell, a collection of 25 sculptures re-creating classic Saturday Evening Post Norman Rockwell covers.
Thee figurines were originally sold by the Danbury Mint from 1991 to 1993. Each sculpture is an original work of art crafted in fine bisque porcelain and meticulously hand-painted. The figurines measure an average of 4âe tall and 2 to 3âe wide. Included in the auction is the original display case that measures approximately 28âe tall and 21.5âe wide and has 5 shelves to display 5 figurines on each shelf.
The sculptures include: Young Love No Swimming: Speed Trap Bottom Drawer Skaters Be A Man Gramps At The Reins Puppy Love School DaysBarbershop Quartet Leapfrog The Runaway The Gift 100 Years of Baseball Medicine Homecoming Girl At The Mirror Off Duty Clown Doctorâe(tm)s Office Marbles Champion The Accordionist Bedside Manner The Prom Dress Doctor and Doll Springtime
This auction includes all 25 sculptures with their original boxes with the Styrofoam storage/shipping mold , the original sales receipts for all 25 (showing the original price of $37.50 each), the Certificate of Registration and the display shelf.
Each figurine is engraved on the bottom with the name of the piece and the Danbury Mint trademark as shown in the sample picture.
Each of the sculptures are in excellent condition. The shelf does have a few nicks.
The sculptures themselves, in the boxes, weight just over 11 pounds prior to packaging so I would suggest parcel post. This would be $15.00. No additional charge to ship the shelf. This set of 25 @ $37.50 each originally cost $937. My reserve price is set at $225, or $9.00 each.
Please email with any questions prior to bidding. If you would like to see close ups on any piece I can provide it.
Thanks for looking.
