Item is a genuine World War 2 American forces escape and evasion cloth map. Two-sided, Side C shows Holland, Belgium (except West coast), France (Northeast), and German (West and Central). Side D shows France (Southeast), German (Southwest), and Switzerland (except Southeast). It measures about 39" square, printed on both sides, and is in excellent condition. T is fraying of the threads around the edge-easily trimmed by the new owner. Due to the spelling I'd say this was a theater-made item and supplied to American or Allied forces. Also included with the map is the rubberized cloth bag for "MAPS ONLY". The bag is marked on the back with the Soldier's name and serial number in black ink. Overall this would be an excellent addition to your World War 2 display or collection or the perfect item for the re-enactor. If you need additional photos just let me know and I'll get them out ASAP. NOTE: THE SOLDIER NAMED TO THIS MAP IS ALSO THE FORMER OWNER OF THE ARMBAND ALSO LISTED.
