Up for auction is a very unique piece of antique World War II WWII United States Marine Corp jewelry. I've never seen a piece quite like this before. Now, I have seen what this was originally which was a 10k solid gold WWII Marine Corp ring, but this soldier must have felt that he needed a little extra protection so he took out the original crown and added a bronze oval of the Blessed Virgin Mary. You can still see the Marine Corp symbols on each side of the ring and you can also still see the "NES" on the rim under the charm. "United States" is still fully visible on the rim. This is a very unusual piece which really needs a home with someone who can appreciate the effort this young Marine put into his prized ring. It looks as if it was also worn on a chain at some point by the wear in the bottom or back of the ring. It is still wearable as well. T has got to be at least $50 worth of gold content in so that is my reserve. T's probably a bit more than that. The last class ring I scraped that was about this size was closer to $70. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions. I ACCEPT PAYPAL ONLY AND PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 2 DAYS OF THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION. Please, if you cannot accept these terms, do not bid.
