World War One and World War Two Medal Set, Minatures, Badge, Photos and Postcards They belonged to 2071 Private Hubert Taylor who served with the King's Liverpool Regiment in WW1 and with the Gloucestershire Home Guard in WW2. Medals The WW1 medal set comprises a 1914/15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal and quite a rare MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL . The first three are issued to 2071 Pte. H Taylor, Liverpool Regiment. The Meritorious Service Medal is issued to 240501 Pte. H Taylor 6/Liverpool Regiment. The medal index record confirms the change of service number (see photo 12 in the listing). The medals are faded and the ribbons are missing. There is also a WW2 Defence Medal in its orginal box addressed to Mr H. Taylor. Both it and its ribbon are in superb condition and look as though have have rarely been out of the box let alone worn. Photo 3 in the listing shows Hubert's set of minatures that are all in good condition and include both the WW1 and WW2 medals. Postcards Photo 4 in the listing shows five photographs and postcards relating to Hubert's time in the army. The top left one shows a group of men in a tented camp. They are wearing the cap badges of 6th Battalion King's Liverpool Regiment Territorial Force (see the question at the bottom of the listing) and I think that it shows Hubert during early training as read more
