You are bidding on a World War II Military Mess Kit asissued to the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army complete with Knife, Fork, andSpoon. This two section mess kit is marked on the folding handle “ U.S. ” and below that “A.G.M. Co.” (Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Company) and below that the date “1945.” The lower portion of the kit that has the handle attached to it appears to be made of stainless steel, and the two compartment lid is aluminum. The spoon and fork appear to be made of stainless steel. The spoon is marked with a three petal symbol and the name “SILCO STAINLESS” (SILCO U.S.A. Division International Silver Co.), the knife has the same three petal symbol on it but no name. The knife has a cast aluminum handle and steel blade. The fork also appears to be made of stainless steel and is marked with a diamond with the letters “DS” in it and “STAINLESS (Diamond Silverware Company).” All three pieces have a large “ U.S. ” on them also. This lower portion of the mess kit has some dents on the bottom. The top seems to be free of dents and is in good condition. The knife, fork and spoon are all in very good condition. U.
