appx. 9x4x3" earthenware figural pitcher in the figure of the Worthington Lord Mayor in full hand painted regalia with the line on base "Behind every great man..." completed when figure is turned around to reveal a bottle of Worthington India Pale Ale in hand behind back, by Beswick, England, no date (50's is probable) in perfect condition with little or no wear or crazing. No loss, damage, restoration etc. Colorfully decorated figural advertising water pitcher by Beswick (now part of Doulton). Scarce bar item. Amusing water pitcher. Good brewery advertising.
