MADAME ALEXANDER MADE 1975-1985 14" REBECCA DOLL #1585 DOLL AND ORIGINAL BOX ARE IN fine CONDITION. COMES WITH WRIST TAG Madame Alexander Doll "Rebecca," No. 1585 is 14 inches tall. She has the sit up/eyes open; lie down/eyes shut feature. She has a pink-polka-dot dress, with black two-button shoes, a pink sunbonnet and a pink umbrella/parasol. I believe this doll depicts the main character of "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm," the 19th-century novel that was later a movie with Shirley Temple. This is the "pink" doll; not the "blue" (costume) or tomboy doll. This doll looks like new, and appears to have never been played with. Sale includes original box and tissue paper packing. The doll has original Madame Alexander hand-tag Doll has lace accents and undergarments, a pretty pink hat, with matching umbrella, white stockings, and white and black shoes. Rebecca has dark brown eyes, and her hair, which is long, dark, and shiny, is so cute in braided ponytails. Her clothes are crisp and clean, as she has been stored in her original box - not displayed or played with - so although this doll was released over 25 years ago, she is still new! Still has the Madame Alexander tag attached. Doll and clothes made in the USA! Also, box is still in good condition. I am no expert in these dolls but I have tried to describe this item
