DESCRIPTION/CONDITION: For your consideration...this piece of Oklahoma/Indian historical memorabilia is a check dated June 6, 1898 [9 years before Oklahoma received statehood] made out to Bank Indian Territory from Guthrie National Bank in Oklahoma. Item is in EXCELLENT condition with no tears or imperfections. Each of corners has slight wear. Front of check reads: Ferd. Ritterbusch, Treasurer Logan Co, O.T. - No. 1189 - Guthrie, Ok. Ty. June 6, 1898 - Pay to Bank Indian Territory or order $2,062.24 - Two Thousands Sixty Two & 24 Dollars - To Guthrie National Bank, Guthrie, Ok. Ty. - Ferd Ritter Busch - Treasurer Logan Co., O.T." Front of check has a banker's stamp which reads "Guthrie National Bank June 7 1898 Guthrie, Oklahoma". T is also a blue "x" on the front. Back of check has the following: "Bank of Indian Territory - Paid - June 7, 1898 - Guthrie, Oklahoma. Note: The low starting bid is to encourage bidding.
