Payment | Policies WoW! Mid to Late 1800's Boise Durci Nun's Habit Rosary Album Album Album Album is a lovely Boise Durci bead Habit rosary that came from Germany. This rosary is from the mid to late 1800's. This HUGE rosary measures 38 inches long, including the 5 inch inlaid Crucifix. The back of the Crucifix is marked Germany. Bois Durci Bois Durci is generally included in the "Category" of Gutta Perch. The reason for this is that it is VERY HARD to distinguish between the two. Many of the characteristics of the two seem identical. To the Expert Eye, about the only differences may be: 1. Bois Durci may appear glossier than Gutta Percha. 2. After an item is worn from use, the color of Bois Durci may appear to be dark shades of reds. Some of the beads on this rosary (especially the Our Father beads) are showing the dark shades of red.
