This is an EXTREMELY rare painted metal Western Union sign from the 1940s. It was originally mounted above the bike racks that the Western Union messengers put their bicycles in for telegram runs. The dark blue color on this is barely faded at all. This is an unusual sign too because of its animated man. The sign says, "Uniformed Messengers furnished for Errands of every description." Please look at the pictures to judge the condition for yourself, but this thing is in fantastic condition. It measures 30 in. X 18 in. Weighs about 4 pounds. Very solid painted metal, but light enough to be hung on the wall.
