THESE PHOTOS ARE WELL WORTH THE WAIT! You are bidding on a 1937 Wurlitzer Jukebox (Model 616)....in GOOD "ORIGINAL" CONDITION! Best of all...this unique jukebox is original unrestored, it features a Wurlitzer After Market Light Kit...and comes PRETTY DARN COMPLETE! I found this jukebox in the barn of my good friend's father..who rescued it from his uncle...who was going to take it to the local landfill! (Man...that would have really been a bummer!). My original intentions were to restore this beauty; however I have decided to focus my attention on the restoration of a 1940's Wurlitzer "Bubbler". Hopefully, the sale of this one will help lay the financial foundation for my dream jukebox. As the photos show, this jukebox really looks super for an unrestored example. Heck...I even have the missing piece (as seen in the photos) from the door which gives you access to the record compartment and its original keys to access that door and the back cover. The red, green, and orange plastic is in very nice condition. T is only one small crack found on the upper, lefthand side of the red piece, which I discovered under close inspection. As the photos show, the coin tray is no longer present, and the original owner added a Ford Motor Company speedometer to the center of this jukebox. This modification was done for a very unique reason. The uncle of my good friend's father was Jack Casey, who was (for several years) the ice-skating partner of Norwegian-born Sonja Henie, three-time Olympic Gold Medal Winner (1928, 1932, and 1936) and proud owner of a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Pretty cool...huh? As the story goes (told by my good friend's father), they used this jukebox during their practice sessions and the speedometer allowed them to speed up and slow down the actual music. Verification of this information can also be found on the metal plate the replaced the coin tray. One can find the inscribed words "fast" and "slow"...which may have indicated various speeds being changed using some sort of a dial switch. Anyway...please see the photographs for all of the aesthetic and schematic information, or feel free to e-mail me with any specific questions. By no means am I an expert in this field; but I will do the best to provide accurate responses to your questions. Do to the actual size and weight of this unit, I will not be able to ship through traditional means, and this item will be for pick-up only. I would also be more than happy to work with the proud new owner on shipping arrangements that they would like to make through a professional shipping/moving company of their choice. As my feedback clearly shows....I am an honest seller who sells quality items. BID WITH CONFIDENCE! I have set a very low starting bid for such an UNBELIEVABLE FIND! With no reserve...this BEAUTY WILL GO TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! Good Luck! I would just like to reiterate with you that I am more than willing to work with a shipping/packaging company of your choice. This item is just to large to ship via traditional ground services, and I would hate it if this wonderful opportunity would pass you by because of being geographically inconvenient. After rereading my auction (and several questions from fellow Ebayers), I realized I never really talked about working condition. I can honestly say that I have no idea how it works...or if it works. I did not want to start fidgeting around and damage something, so it will be sold as found and described. I do know that the mechanics look complete and I see no major damage that would lead me to believe that the right person (who the proper knowledge) could have this up and working in no time. This is an unique find and a restoration project that even I could handle :-) If you have any other questions....just ask. GOOD LUCK! Hank
